The Vertex® Nitinol Staple is made of superelastic nitinol and is designed to provide compression to an osteotomy or bone fracture after being released from the inserter.
The staple design and mechanical properties of nitinol provide 63.5% greater pullout strength than competitors.* The system includes staples and straightforward, ergonomic instrumentation for quick and smooth insertion.
Tapered legs offer increased compression near cortical bone. An undercut near the bridge captures cortical bone to increase pullout strength. No temperature-specific storage is required.
